Hundreds of Parish Development Model SACCO leaders Participated in the four-day training program focused on mindset change.

The mindset change training which was held at St. Pope John Paul II Shalom Youth Centre Soroti being facilitated by Enterprise Uganda was meant to equip leaders with skills to foster positive mindset shift, enhancing leadership capabilities and promote sustainable growth and development.

While conducting the training, Mr Charles Ocici, the Executive director Enterprise Uganda said the training to empower SACCO Leaders with necessary tools to drive progress and success within their communities.

Ocici said the government 's agenda is to drive change in livelihoods and enable Ugandans to get into the money economy.

“Government has delegated Enterprise Uganda with the responsibility of implementing pillar five training beneficiaries to develop business mindset to multiply program funds through entrepreneurship,” said Ocici

Ms Joy Christine Apolot, the PDM Focal Point Person, Soroti, said that under pillar five of mindset change government is intensifying the push for business mindset change to ensure the PDM beneficiaries are empowered with necessary skills to run productive enterprises.  

Soroti district last month successfully disbursed UGX 5.4 billion to PDM beneficiaries, it has total of 54 registered SACCOS, and has formed 1,045 enterprise groups
