SOROTI DISTRICT TO HOST PRIMARY SCHOOLS NATIONAL BALL GAMES AND SNE CHAMPIONSHIP

Soroti district has been confirmed to host the 2024 Primary Schools National Ball Games and Special Needs Learners Education (SNE) championship that will be held from 25th August -6th September, 2024.
Mr Nickolus Opio, the Soroti district Sports Officer has confirmed the new development.
“Following the rotation format of national games, the Ministry of Education and Sports has granted Soroti district to the opportunity to host national championship,”.
Speaking to the Teso Post on 5th Monday, 2024, in his office, Mr Opio said that a total of 6,000 participants in which events will be held in different age categories, including U-11, U-12, U-14, and U-16
He said that the championship will feature various ball games, including football, handball, netball, and volleyball, as well as events for special needs learners.
Mr James Oede, the District Education Officer said that “we are happy as the district that our request has been positively responded by the Ministry Education and Sports, preparations towards this event are already taking center stage,”.
