RED RHINO DEVELOPMENT (RRD) TO IMPLEMENT WASH PROJECT IN SOROTI
Red Rhino Development (RRD), an NGO, Implementing Uganda Water Projects (UWP) is conducting an Inception Meeting with district stakeholders.

The Inception meeting is at Water Office Premises. RRD is a USA NGO operating in Uganda since 2008, delivering WASH services to more than 500,000 people through construction and Rehabilitation of water points in the country.

According to John Were, the project director RRD says they seek to introduce and implement WASH project in Soroti DLG in the coming financial year.

The district chairperson Soroti, Hon. Edoru Simon Peter Ekuu , welcomed the Red Rhino Development to Soroti, saying that the district is still having many villages that do not have clean and safe water.
Edoru said that we the coming of the RRD it will now help to address the issue of the water shortages.

Apparently Soroti district has 86 percent of the water coverage, however they are still some villages that do not have access to safe and clean water.
This coming financial year of the 2024/2025 is planning to drill at least 17 boreholes across the district.
